Let me just start by saying that I go into any situation with as open a mind as I can. This was by far the most 'interesting' massage experience I've ever had and I definitely will not be going back. Pros: massage was definitely decent and cheap. A little too gentle for my liking but I did leave fairly relaxed. Cons: I had been emailing someone from this spa asking about prenatal massage. They were very clear that they do not offer this service, but they agreed to do a heck/neck/shoulders massage instead which was really all I needed. We agreed on this and an appointment date and time. When I arrived for my appointment, the women there had no idea that they were expecting anyone. When I told them I am pregnant (15 weeks so not obvious) they looked at me like I had a disease. I had to explain the emails and explain the conversation and they still were so confused. Mind you while I'm suffering from a major migraine and just need someone to rub my neck. We finally square things away (I think) and they tell me to remove my shirt, while they were still standing there. They both never left the room to give me privacy and WATCHED ME remove my shirt and my sports bra. The therapist kept asking me over and over during my massage if I was okay, I understand checking in, but it was relentless and it really started to bother me. I wasn't giving her any reason to think I wasn't okay. The rooms are pretty open in there and I could eventually hear the other woman cleaning the toilet with the bathroom door open. At the end, I was actually feeling pretty relaxed finally, normally a therapist will give you a towel and allow you privacy to get up at your own pace and get dressed. This woman shoves both her forearms under my torso and forces me up and out of the bed and goes 'okay all done' !! Mind you it's now 7 pm and they don't close for another 2 hours.... I left laughing, like what just happened.
